PLAY 14 experience

May 9th, 2019 Posted by Agile, Blog, Events 0 thoughts on “PLAY 14 experience”

As part of my CONTINUOUS curricular, I had the pleasure to participate in the PLAY 14 – LUXEMBOURG 2019.
The objective of the PLAY 14 is to exchange, share and present ideas, exercises and knowledge  in a FUN, RESPECTFUL and PLAYFUL way.

I took part in several activities:

Very interesting exercise to popularize IT refactoring to Non-IT People and the need for it on a regular basis. We took the mind game as a good illustration.

At the end of the 2nd day, we had the challenge to cook our own dinner. We were split into Agile Squads. Each squad had its Product Owner, Scrum Master, Cooks, Definition of Ready and Done and a defined “product” (Dish). Ex: Main Dish, Antipasti, Apéritif. It ran very well and one really felt the “Agile” necessity in cooking squads.

Beatrix introduced her HR tool, map talent and potential mapping, through a serious game which aims to evaluate our different potentials referring to the multiple intelligence: Existential, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, Visual-spatial, Musical-rhythmic, Verbal-linguistic, Logical-mathematical, Bodily-kinesthetic, Naturalistic

It was a very interesting exercise of self awareness and also god energizer.

It was an exercise to picture a high and low dream agile organization. It took us time to understand what and how we should picture a high dream agile organization. We imagined and pictured it separately and then made the synthesis together. It was a very interesting exercise which necessitate to collaborate, share and act.

I presented Ciao Comfort Zone game that I found on the internet. The objective is to help and encourage people to get out of their comfort zone via daily, weekly, … challenges. Challenges are split in different themes: Social, New experiences, Gratitude, Confidence, Health and Caring. I got positive feedback from the game. This can be applied in a private and professional environment.

Thanks for this great moment !!!!!!

Continuous Weekend July 2018: Blockchain & Token Economy

July 31st, 2018 Posted by Blockchain, Blog, Events 0 thoughts on “Continuous Weekend July 2018: Blockchain & Token Economy”

From Thursday 19 July to Sunday 22 afternoon, 17 participants composed of the Continuous Team and friends have participated in the first Continuous Weekend in a nice big house in Belgium Achoufe village!

It started by an introduction about the Golden Circle and the Outcome Economy, followed by a presentation about Bitcoin, the Crypto/Token Economy, Ethereum, the DApps and Initial Coin Offering (ICO).

After this, Team members have worked in finding ideas to build a Token Economy model based on the Ethereum Platform.

On seven ideas, three ideas have been voted.

Teams have been working hard during 2 days on their Token usage and their Economic model in order to present an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) focused pitch.

The Token products/services have been judged based on the pitch quality (ICO focused), its potential and its feasibility.

We have not only found interesting products, the exercice was very enriching for everyone and everybody has learned a lot.

Contact us if you are interested to know more about the ICO’s or would like to participate to the next Continuous Weekend!

More of the weekend below and BTW did I say that we are hiring ? 🙂

Stay tuned for more!

HIVE Blockchain Society: Game Theory & Consensus Mechanisms

March 26th, 2018 Posted by Blog, Events 0 thoughts on “HIVE Blockchain Society: Game Theory & Consensus Mechanisms”

Continuous was at the HIVE Blockchain Society Event in Brussels the 24 march 2017.

The HIVE is a community for Blockchain enthusiasts and experts (developers, investors, entrepreneurs, etc.) starting a series of initiatives to promote Blockchain as outlined as below:

The program of this event was very interesting with a presentation of Game Theory & Consensus Mechanisms followed by very interesting projects show cases.

The program was:

  • Game Theory & Consensus Mechanisms: Dr Jamsheed Shorish, an experienced university teacher with a background in computational finances & mathematics has been talking about game theory, what impact it has on our daily lives and how it can be applied to rule consensus mechanisms.
  • Decred Decentralised Autonomous Crypto currency.
Since 2016, Decred has striven to solve blockchain governance. Their innovative, hybrid proof-of-work/proof-of-stake consensus voting system empowers stakeholders and allows for the seamless transition from one set of rules to another.
  • Giveth is a Decentralized Altruistic Community (DAC). The team’s drive is defined as supporting transparency, open-source development, co-creation, and collaboration. The Giveth community is building a software system, using Ethereum smart contracts, that will radically shift the way people think charity can and should work.

In summary, this was a fantastic day meeting many very interesting people! Looking forward for more HIVE meet-up!
